Introduction to planetary ball mill fault phenomena and maintenance methods
1. The ball mill is not operating properly.
Situation 1: Whether the power is plugged in, whether the green switch is turned on, and if the instrument is equipped with an emergency stop switch, the emergency stop switch should be kept in the normally open state (press to close and stop, turn clockwise to open)
Situation 2: There is no display after the inverter power switch is turned on. First check whether the power supply is normal, and then check whether the power switch is damaged.
Scenario 3: The inverter has a display, but the motor does not start when the run button is pressed. First check whether the two ends of the seven-pin plug are tightly connected, check whether the protective cover of the ball mill is properly covered, and then check whether the safety switch (travel switch) is damaged.
2. The speed of the ball mill’s large plate drops significantly or the speed is uneven and the rotation is weak.
Solution: This is because the V-belt used for transmission is worn and needs to be replaced.
3. The ball mill makes abnormal noise when running.
Solution: At this time, you should shut down the machine immediately, check whether the ball mill tank is loose, and then restart the instrument after fixing the ball mill tank.
4. The sound suddenly decreases or disappears when the ball mill is running.
Solution: Shut down the machine immediately, unplug the power cord, and rotate the ball mill tank by hand. If you find that the ball mill tank is not rotating smoothly, the belt is damaged and needs to be replaced.
5. There is metal friction sound or peculiar smell when the ball mill is running.
Solution: Shut down the machine immediately, unplug the power cord, and move the tank holder by hand. If the shaft is found to be loose, the bearing is worn and needs to be replaced.
