2. Agate ball mill jar
Agate ball mill jars are also commonly used because agate has strong corrosion resistance, resistance to strong acids and alkalis, and wear resistance. More importantly, it does not cause metal contamination to the sample. It is an ideal ball mill jar material, especially In the grinding experiment for detecting heavy metals in soil samples, the agate ball mill tank is the national standard choice.
One disadvantage of agate ball mill jars is that they are easily broken. We can equip the outside of your agate ball mill jar with a stainless steel sheath to prevent the jar from being dropped to the ground and broken.
3. Stainless steel ball mill tank
The stainless steel ball mill tank is one of the commonly used ball mill tanks, and many samples can be configured and used. There is a layer of chromium-rich oxide film (passivation film) on the internal surface of the stainless steel ball mill tank, which has certain rust resistance and acid resistance. However, under the high-speed movement of the planetary ball mill, some metal impurities in the stainless steel ball mill tank will be mixed into the sample. , it is not recommended for grinding experiments that require high sample contamination.
4. Vacuum ball mill tank
Vacuum ball mill jars are suitable for grinding flammable, explosive and easily oxidized samples, as well as samples that need to be isolated from the air. The lid of the vacuum ball mill jar is equipped with an air inlet and exhaust valve. After the sample is installed and the jar lid is closed, a vacuum pump can be used to extract the air in the jar. Vacuum ball mill tanks are generally made of stainless steel. If the sample is also required to be free of metal contamination, the inner wall of the tank can also be lined with agate, zirconia, etc.
